The Camp Nou

Camp Nou is a sports venue owned by Fútbol Club Barcelonalocated in the Neighborhood of Las Corts,a few steps from Avenida Diagonal de Barcelona.

The stadium was propelled and built during the term of President Francisco Miró-Sans. It was inaugurated on 24 September (Day of the Merco, patron saint of Barcelona) of 1957 and listed by UEFA as“elite stadium”,being the second in Spain to achieve this category. A series of commemorative events and a friendly football match were organized between FC Barcelona and Legia Warsaw, which concluded with the home team’s 4–2 victory.

It is the most capable stadium in Europe and the third largest in the world, with a current capacity of 99,354 spectators. The capacity has undergone variations since its initial capacity around ninety thousand localities, with its maximum of one hundred and twenty thousand spectators, with the construction of the World Cup of Spain to 1982. Finally, in 1994, the capacity was below one hundred thousand spectators, following the remodeling in application of the regulations that required the elimination of the seatless locations.

In the facilities of the Camp Nou is located: the official headquarters of Fútbol Club Barcelonathe administration offices and the Museum of F.C. Barcelona, museum of the club, the most visited in Catalonia. In addition, the Camp Nou is the main part of a complex that also hosts the “Mini Stadium”, a football stadium of 20,000 venues where matches of the club’s quarry are played. Finally, we also find the Palau Blaugrana, a multipurpose pavilion of 8,000 spectators in which they train and play basketball, handball, roller hockey and futsal teams of the club.

– High season: (from July 1st to September 1st): Adults: 28o, from 6 to 13 years: 22o, students and over 70 years: 22o and under 6 years: free.
– Low season: (From 2 September to 30 June): Adults: 26o, from 6 to 13 years: 20o, students and over 70 years: 20o and children under 6 years old: free.
